Please note that brass WILL tarnish and will tarnish quicker in certain locations such as splashed by contaminated water or in a salt water environment,
To maintain any brass you need to apply a barrier such as a silicone spray or petroleum jelly. Lacquering brass will not stop it tarnishing underneath the lacquer, it will just make it impossible to clean it.
